Where to Eat in Legian Beach

Legian has a plethora of amazing dining venues as well as some good but more casual spots to satisfy your appetite (and your thirst). With cuisines from all over the world being happily displayed in the kitchens across town, especially along Jalan Legian, even picky eaters will find a favorite place to dine in Legian.

Mozzarella by The Sea

Visit Mozzarella by The Sea for great Indonesian and western (particularly Italian) dishes. With great views of the beach, especially at sunset, Mozzarella is a relaxing place to spend an evening and have a good meal in Legian. To take advantage of the great view, there are tables outside the restaurant that are well-shaded during the day and allow guests to enjoy the evening breezes off the waves. This venue gets more crowded at night but is open for much of the day, beginning around lunchtime. Mozzarella is located at Maharata Bali Hotel on Jalan Padma Utara and is open from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Blue Ocean Restaurant

Blue Ocean Restaurant is one of the most famous dining spots in Legian. The sunsets here are gorgeous and the terrace makes appreciating the view easy. There is an expansive drink menu while the dining cuisine includes seafood favorites as well as numerous other options, even including baked goods. Blue Ocean is located on Jalan Arjuna and opens at 8 a.m., making it a great place to grab breakfast or enjoy a late night dinner. Families are welcome.

Balkanika Macedonian Restaurant & Bar

Balkanika Macedonian Restaurant and Bar has its namesake Balkan and Macedonian dishes as well as various Indonesian selections and even pizza. Located on Jalan Legain, this restaurant caters to a variety of tastes, so it is a great option if you’re dining in a large group. With too many delicious dishes to name, rest assured that you will have a good variety to choose from when you go to Balkanika Macedon. It is open from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Pearl French Restaurant

French cuisine in Bali doesn’t get any better than the excellent and expertly-prepared dishes at Pearl French Restaurant in Legian. Here you will find numerous delicious options, and if you can’t decide, try a sampling plate. Located at the Pearl Hotel Bali, this almost-beachside restaurant is not to be missed. It is open from Thursday to Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.


Donbiu has recently become one of the most popular restaurants in Legian. Located at the Padma Resort, Legian is known for its excellent customer service and, if dining in the evening, you can enjoy live music. The cuisine at Donbiu is dominated by Balinese food but there are many other types as well. The breakfast buffets in particular offer food from all over the globe. Donbiu is open from 6:30 a.m. to midnight.

The Kopi Pot

Indonesian food is served in a lovely setting amidst a flowering garden at The Kopi Pot. This venue has become very popular over the past two decades, thanks to its Bali-focused but international menu and its delicious coffee. The restaurant is has its own bar as well, and is open until midnight, giving you service all day long. It opens at 8 a.m. and is located on Jalan Raya Legian.

Mama’s German Restaurant

Mama’s German Restaurant serves plenty of meat dishes routed in German and especially Bavarian cuisine, but there are also a variety of options here including Indonesian and Mediterranean dishes. Still, there’s no doubt that Mama’s caters to those who want a hearty meal accompanied by some well-deserved beer. As an added bonus, this venue is open twenty-four hours a day and is located right on Jalan Legian at La Walon Shopping Center.
