Where to Eat in Nusa Dua

Ocean Terrace

Ocean Terrace is one of the best spots in Bali for a romantic evening out or just a plain excellent meal. Classical music fills the air as you dine on gourmet fare. Serving both Asian and European dishes, Ocean Terrace specializes in fine service and carefully prepared cuisine that will delight any diner. Seafood is central to the menu but there are numerous other options as well. This venue, located at the Laguna Resort, makes sure to give its patrons its best yet many menu items are quite affordable. It is open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Balinese Theatre

The Balinese Theatre happily combines Balinese dances and entertaining shows with delicious dinners. The dancers and the restaurant staff wear traditional costumes that add to the alluring atmosphere that draws upon the tropical climate and rich culture of the island. Food is served via a large buffet, which opens at 7 p.m. Shows begin at 8 p.m. The Balinese Theatre is located at Ayodya Resort.

Nyoman’s Beer Garden

Nyoman’s Beer Garden has an extensive menu of affordable dishes ranging from Indonesian to Chinese to Italian, with plenty more in between. The head chef and owner has trained and worked all over the world, giving his global fare a special expertise. The Beer Garden is located on Jalan Pantai Mengiat and is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Transportation is available to nearby locations if your hotel is a bit distant.

Sushi Bar Teppanyakki

Conveniently located in the Bali Collection, Sushi Bar Teppanyakki is the place to go for excellent Japanese food in Nusa Dua. In addition to the incredible sushi, plenty of other Japanese favorites are available, including tempura. The food is here is authentic and the menu allows you to take your pick of appetizers, big plates, and mixed dishes. The Sushi Bar is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Whacko Beach Club

Whacko Beach Club is a multi-faced dining venue that serves excellent western dishes as well as Indonesian favorites. The diversity of the menu is one of several important features of the beach club, which is also notable for its swim-up bar. The Whacko Beach Club is open from 9 a.m. to midnight daily and is good a choice in the day as it is later in the evening, when it becomes more crowded. This venue is a great place to hang out with friends or enjoy some cocktails in one of the private beach cabanas. It is located on Jalan Pratama.


Kayuputi serves delicious Asian dishes with a bit of flair brought in from other global cuisines. You can watch your food being compared via the open kitchen or enjoy the fine view of the sea. Kayputi stocks excellent wines and is one of the finest dining venues in Nusa Dua. It is the perfect setting for a romantic evening out. Located at the St. Regis Resort, it opens at noon and closes at 11 p.m.

Nusa Dua Beach Grill

Geger Beach is home to the Nusa Dua Beach Grill. Its location above this lovely beach makes it an excellent choice for a lunch or supper on a day spent by the water. The menu is quite extensive and covers a wide range of choices, from simple (but very good) sandwiches to numerous hot dishes. Seafood is usually the top choice for diner here. Nusa Dua Beach Grill is open from 11:30 to 10 p.m.
