While some of the nearby beaches are better known for their nightlife, Jimbaran does have its fair share of fun nightlife spots. Sunsets are beautiful and many cafes and bars take advantageous of their gorgeous surroundings. Seafood is a must-try and there are plenty of venues to choose from. Relax at one of the casual seafood cafes on the beach or take a more stylish route via the rooftop bars.
Jimbaran Seafood Cafés
Seafood cafes are one of the best means of tasting the local cuisine. Seafood cafes dot the path along Muaya Beach, offering delicious grilled fish and shellfish just steps away from the ocean. Most open around 3 p.m. but really get started at sundown and stay open until about 11 p.m. You can have a fun and relaxing evening out on the sand, watching the boats and the people go by. Cold drinks are always available and vendors will remind you that you have plenty of options. There are occasionally live musical performances, too.
Unique Rooftop Bar
Rimba Jimbaran Bali is home to one of the best rooftop bars in the area. Unique Rooftop Bar has a beautiful view of the Bukit Peninsula’s hills and, of course, of the sea. It is always popular at sunset, but you can also head there during the day to enjoy relaxing by the infinity pool. The bar serves a good variety of drinks, including some of their own specialties. Try a new cocktail or two or even an alcoholic milkshake. There are special deals for women on Monday and Thursday, and you can also come here to dance to some DJ-selected beats. Unique Rooftop Bar is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Jimbaran Beach Club
Located on Jalan Bukit Permai, Jimbaran Beach Club is one of the favorite nightlife spots in Jimbaran. It is divided into three areas, including a bar and a lounge area. The restaurant section offers many delicious meals options ranging from appetizers to full dinners. The bar has a long list of drinks with a specialization in excellent cocktails. If you want to start off the evening a little more slowly, try some freshly made fruit juice. The lounge area has plenty of space to relax and enjoy your surroundings. The Jimbaran Beach Club is located at Kupu Kupu Jimbaran and is open daily from 8 to 11.
Kecak and Fire Dance Performances
The beautiful and iconic Uluwatu Temple has its own outdoor amphitheater. Visitors can enjoy a spectacular dance program under the stars and in the glow of torch light. The amazingly talented kecak and fire dance performers put on a great show that tells various stories related to an ancient Hindu epic. Many wear wonderful costumes and all are quite talented. There is both drama and comedy in these shows, which take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The temple is located along Jalan Raya Uluwatu.
Karma Beach Bali
One of the favorite beach clubs in the area is Karma Beach Club. It has a perfect setting on a particularly lovely beach that includes large limestone rock formations and cliffs. This adds to the privacy of the beach, which is dotted with small, traditionally-designed huts. Karma Beach Bali is part of the Karma Kandara Resort and offers some of the best beachside meals and drinks in Jimbaran. Aside from great views of the sea, you can listen to music and get to know fellow guests. The beach club occasionally has fun social nights, such as film showings, that will give you another nightlife option to check out. The club is open daily from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Chiringuito El Kabron
If you are in the mood for Spanish or Mediterranean food, head to Chiringuito El Kabron. El Kabron’s Spanish-born head chef leads his team in creating some truly delicious meals as well as creative cocktails. This restaurant and bar has a great setting and is located near Pecatu. It is situated at the end of a cliff not far from Padang Padang. El Kabron is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is as good for lunch as it is for evening dinners and drinks. With great views and great DJs, it is no wonder that it is a popular nightlife spot.
Scruffy Murphy’s Bali Irish Pub
If pub-style nightlife is your preference, head to the excellent pub known as Scruffy Murphy’s. Located on Jalan Raya Uluwatu, this Irish destination is the perfect place to chat with fellow travelers, enjoy a cold pint, and perhaps catch a sports match on TV. The pub regularly has live music of various genres, including traditional Irish music. It is a small place but everyone is very friendly and you can always have a good time. Scruffy Murphy’s is open daily from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
